I Love days like today so I have to write about it. Got a lot of work done, took care of mom duties, and a light work out. The highlight of today has to be my “picnic 🧺 basket adventures.” This picnic basket of mine has fed lots of happy people over the years. Today, I made special hot sandwiches 🥪 and fruit/protein smoothies🥤🍓 for Gigi’s Speech/Debate Team. Here we go:
Whats not pictured is I added ice 🧊 and some honey 🍯 so with the protein in the yogurt this is a pretty substantial and delicious smoothie. I made enough for four people in four to go containers that are compostable.
I was very excited to make these hot sandwiches 🥪. What I do is brown the sandwich meat, crispify the bread 🍞 with butter, put a drizzle of mayo & mustard, then add the special ingredient which are pickled carrots 🥕so this is healthy too because of the probiotics. I made enough to feed around 5-6 people. I also threw in some chips and sugar cookies to complete the culinary experience.

These two cuties (+ team mates of cuties ) to be exact. I love getting feedback and Gigi reported the prepared goods were a hit. Yay ❣️ Gigi’s friend Milly said the sandwich tasted very special and could eat it every day. Aww 😍 Their Speech Coach doesn’t eat meat, removed the meat, and was also reported to enjoy it. The smoothies were also well received. Gigi said my food made people happpyyyyy💕Yeeeeee! Mission accomplished 🎯

Good day sunshines 🌞 In case you didn’t make it to church ⛪️ I did 🙋🏻♀️and prayed for all of us.
Hit up a few local spots this morning on foot for coffee ☕️ and pastries 🥐 and I absolutely love the upgraded and wholesome vibe 🥰 of Renegade, by Devout Coffee ☕️. They don’t have wifi or artificial sweeteners so this tells me they want people to enjoy their establishment organically without the distraction of wifi, cell phones, and devices! I freaking LOVE ❤️ that. Definitely coming back here to bring people and work here when I want to be visually inspired. Check em out:
Once Gigi was ready we hit up her favorite breakfast place Bun Apetit and got some fancy donuts 🍩.
Bun Apetit is a super cute place with good treats and food where you can sit outside and enjoy your treats in a pretty little sitting area. See below:
She got her favorite 🤩 the Blackberry Dubai and I got the Easter🐰Bun. Both were good but the Blackberry Dubai was spectacular. Highly recommend this❣️
If I were a teenage girl I would totally love to be friendsies 👯♀️ with this girl of mine because she is absolutely delightful and a pleasure to be around. Happy Easter Everyone 🙏🏽 🐇💗💘

Fasted all day and now having my first meal while 📜 scrolling through my camera 📸 roll to see what made me happy today. Gonna give you a real world 🌎 application of how to see purpose and beauty in everyday.

I’ve kept this 8 year year old prayer card from the kid’s time of preparing for Holy communion.
I like reminding myself the fruits 🍉 🍎 🍊 🍓 of the Spirit because they are bountiful, based on one’s faith, and cannot be bought. Us believers know this and gratefully receive them because we pray for them, ask for forgiveness for transgressions, and live as best as we can.

Happy 😊 Monday lovelies🌞
I ran into these little juice-pre-neurs selling freshly squeezed orange 🍊juice down the block.
One of them even mistakenly called me “Auntie” and told his parents I look like his Auntie Eva, which benefited him because “relatives” tend to buy 😆 So I gave the kid $5 since that’s all I had and the parents threw in a grilled hot dog 🌭 which was nice 👍
All in all, I love how these boys are putting in work, learning how to communicate safely with strangers, and directly benefiting from these efforts, while their parents stayed nearby. Definitely something “Auntie” needed to support 💛 Ttyl ✌️

Sasha and Sally made a come back last night for a little Girl’s Night Out.
I don’t drink alcohol anymore so I’m so glad she allowed me to be me and have “mocktails” - which are pretty 😍 looking drinks without alcohol.
We started off with dinner 🥘 at one our fave local spots, had a shopping 🛍️ adventure, and, then capped off the night dancing 💃🏻.
We even ended up twinning 🤩👯♀️🤩👯♀️ and did not plan it! Check it out: 1) white boots 👢 2) blue ripped jeans 👖 3) black top.
I love that our friendship has always been grounded on common values and healthy interests. We became friends through our love of lifting weights 🏋🏻♀️ and boxing 🥊 btw. I don’t know a lot of moms like us so we’re definitely a special breed. (Our pact to each other is that we can never get mad at the same time cuz we’re both firecrackers 🧨 lmao 😂 J/K, not really ✌️)

Happy blessed 😇 Sunday everyone. So today I’m blogging and meal prep planning at my local Panera where locals are nice and actually talk to each other.
Like this lady sitting to my left who saw my Catholic bulletin and asked to read it. Yes, of course I said and walked it over to her. A few minutes later, when she returned it, I noticed she was in an aesthetically pleasant outfit: a Vintage JCrew kinda vibe. White canvas shoes, tan ankle socks, white collar shirt, tan knitted cardigan with cute brown buttons where she buttoned the first one and allowed the sweater to look like a lose and cute cape. She topped off the look with animal print eyeglasses that framed her face well.
I told her she looked like a total fashionista 🛍️ and appreciated her well put together aesthetic. She smiled 😊 the kind of smile when someone feels appreciated and seen 😍
I hope you feel appreciated 😊 and seen today 😍 as well.

Running 🏃🏻♀️ update
We were given homework 📚 to log in running miles 🏃🏻♀️ in between our next training 🥊 session so I did 4.17 miles today. Mostly walking and a little jogging because my body is still feeling beat up 🤕 (The good athletic beat down kind.) I’ve been here before, know how this feels like, and aware that leveling up in fitness is a process. Patience, consistency, proper nutrition, and recovery are essential.
With that said there is nothing as rejuvenating to me as a sunset 🌅 run. Coyote Hills is 2 miles away from my door so that’s an easy 4 miles back and forth 🏡 Definitely feels like Spring 🌷🏃🏻♀️💓🌄

Boxing update 🥊👍:
Last night, I trained with Coach Gilbert and his crew and it was good vibes all around 🙌He is the founder of Phight Club in Oakland and simultaneously runs group boxing + fitness sessions outside the ring 🥊🥊🥊 We sparred, hit the mitts, hit the bags, and finished off with dynamic movements and core work. Definitely a strong 💪 + fun 🤩 addition to my fitness routine. Have a wonderful weekend everyone❣️

Boxing 🥊 Update:
I finally found a boxing 🥊 coach in my area who invited me to start sparring with his crew at my gym.Turns out the real boxers train at night and I thank my lucky stars 🌟 I trained late today. Talk about Right place ✅ Right time ✅
His fighters look legit so I know he’s a good trainer. I had to completely stop what I was doing because they were so in sync and I was mesmerized. He approached me and told me I have good foot work and coordination.
FINALLY!!!!

Day 98, 3/29/25 Got thoroughly beat up early today from a long + challenging stamina building hitting session 💥🥊Thank you Coach 🙏🏽🥇🙌 Always love seeing the crew💗💕
After some recovery and food, and while Gigi studied nearby, I squeezed in an afternoon session to work on core and a mini full body HIIT to complete the beat down. Finally satisfied it was Gigi’s turn.
Gigi has fallen into her own fitness routine, staying consistent, and seeing overall strength gains. Good job honey 👏 Keep it up❣️

Power moves 💥🧨🌋💣
Alrighty. I have a power move I am compelled to share. I call this exercise the incline abs / arm press.
It is equal parts fun and challenging in that it activates the whole body: lower body for stabilization, core and upper body for strength.
I do this two ways. One is pressing outwardly at eye level once at the peak landing point kind of like the level of a punch 🥊. The power here comes from the horizontal line of your eyes that you transmit and push out through your arms and the bar. The burst of energy you generate is excitement as you work with building your momentum and exerting your power through this full body movement.
Second, is an overhead press where the bar is pressed upwards above your head once you reach the peak landing point. The power here comes from the perpendicular line aligned with your ears. With that line from your ears, you just pop it out and push it upwards. Make sure your breathing is supporting your movement and you’re not holding your breath.
I did both ways at the gym yesterday and surprisingly my core is not yet thoroughly beat up so I need to go back and it give it a few more rounds today lol 😊I love this workout so much I have to write about it here ✍️ Go give this a try and have some fun with this favorite power move of mine 🙌
How to do this:
- Find an ab incline bench
- Adjust it to highest level
- Find a bar with weights you’re comfortable lifting from a negative incline position to an upright position. I like 30 lbs right now
- Lift off and press 10 reps for 3 sets
- Congratulate yourself for being a badass working your whole body with agility, vigor, and strength!!
- Now go and dance 💃🏻 or box 🥊 or run 🏃🏻♀️ and do some more power moves. For me, the back bended selfie 🤳 is another challenging 🤨 and fun 🤩 one because I usually topple a bit after taking it lol 😜

Our Spring schedule is falling into place nicely and yesterday we celebrated the end of a productive basketball 🏀 season for Logan.
Honorable mention goes out to the JV Team that came out in first place🥇in their division 🙌
I enjoy the camaraderie they are building and with time, I hope Gavin continues to hone his athleticism at the highest level he can take it.
That’s going to take dedication, discipline, day in and day out, on and off season.
