Dating is a scam

The "idea" of dating to me is a total scam, let me tell you why. 

For most singles, the primary reason people "date" is to alleviate loneliness for the sole privilege to have physical exclusivity to someone and curate opportunities to have sex with them.

I am sorry to sound like a pessimist but when men tell me they want to be friends with me, I test them and watch their behavior because I have a solid group of men friends who respect me highly and when there are potentials that want to be a "new man friend,” I match their behavior with my real men friends and when they don't match up, I ghost them, for a few hours -or- days, depending on my mood.

Like dude? Really? Do you even have any women friends? Is this how you communicate with them? Style and duration like this? Like Eeeeeewwwww. But, I can't say that. But I can certainly write ✍️ that here.

Anyhow, I find us women to have a heightened intuition especially for "new people." My spidey-senses are super strong especially with men because I can easily evaluate, pray, detach, and ghost as necessary.

Like why do I have to explain myself? You're a grown ass man and you do not know how to behave?

My personal experience has been that men will say they want to be friends but their behavior will be like this:

"Let me give this woman lots of attention and see if she can see me as more than a friend. This usually works with them broads."

That's the whole story right there 👆

Just saying. Please check yourself before you wreck yourself. 

I don't need or want your attention like that ok? Bye ✌️

Tryna attract a baby mama for him in our neighborhood so he needs to look dapper lol

This nearly three (3) year old is strong 💪 super protective 🛡️ handsome 😍 and muy inteligente 🧐And extremely selectively sweet. Only four (4) humans he loves and trusts. That’s plenty for a German ✌️ + ✌️

This one ☝️ everyone L♥️VES but is a home 🏡 body, attached to his Mama, and always ready to go home lol 😂. At one year old he is safely off leash and is always at my side watching me like, what are we doing now? And when I say “No” he listens. Like “No! Dirty water 💦!” (puddles + standing street water) PiBBle won’t have anything I say a strong 💪 “No!” to. Good job 👏 puppy🐶 ✅ 💯🤗✅💯

This was a **very** lucky 🍀💚🍀💚 pic I got earlier this month because PiBBLe was “smiling.” I’ve never seen this before he was actually “panting” from a run 😂😂😂😂. I’ve been trying to recreate this “smile” but it is so rare. So here it is again, because it needs to be top of this post because it drives me bonkers, he is soooooooo freakin cute 😍❤️😍❤️

PiBBLe loves playing dead ☠️ with Milo. They created this game all on their own with the Rugrat initiating play. They are adorable 🥰 to watch they’re so odd looking 👀 together 😂 I always watch closely to check for cues of PiBBLe stressing Milo out and the Rugrat gets a little time out and solo time.

Who loves you? Like for real

Today I want to invite a frank conversation about love.

Not the romantic kind but love in the purest sense of the word.

Most of what people think is love is actually emotional attachment sprinkled in with hormones, expectations, and social conditioning.

What is true love?

Based on my observation true love is rare but super simple and one word embodies it which is this 

==>  Sacrifice.

When you love, you sacrifice something that has value. Your time, attention, and/or energy. This is naturally seen in the love from mother to child. Sleep is compromised to soothe a crying baby. Attention is given to ensure the child is safe. Energy by way of food from the mother's body is given freely.

The ultimate show of love is God giving up his son for humanity. And Jesus giving up his life so that we do not die in our sinfulness and through his sacrifice, opened up a reality that is bigger, better, and brighter than we could ever imagine in our Earthly capacity.

When you look around and take stock of the people around you, you can take this template of sacrificial love and see who in your life, in all their imperfect but beautiful humanity, loves you. What have they, ever, sacrificed for you? Versus, what have YOU sacrificed for them? My friends, don't be blind. Also, please do not become an unbalanced energetic seesaw insatiably-hungry for attention, validation, and companionship. You can get all that, quietly, privately, with the the people who deserve your love. And it's not everyone ok? Be discerning. Jesus loves you (so I don't have to). Peace out people. 

Filipino Fusion

​I don’t eat meat anymore so I have to make my palate happy 😊 because I’m still a foodie 🙌 Just a pescatarian 🎣 now ✅

Above is fried smelt from Grill City 🌆 at Seafood City in Union City. These tasty little fishies are the equivalent of bacon 🥓 to me back when I used to be a meat eater.

I pair them with 3 Asian style cooked eggs 🍳, mixed frozen veggies 🥗 , fresh cut up tomato 🍅 , cut up mini Filipino bananas 🍌, furikake flakes, with a couple drizzles of Maggi seasoning. Mix it all up and it’s like something exotic and exciting from Hawaii served between lunch and dinner time 👍 which is what we Filipinos call “merienda” which translates to “snack” or “light meal.”

Sunday Sopes

I will be teaching myself how to make Mexican sopes today based on notes 📝 I took from my church friends Yolanda and Francisco. I’m not YouTubing anything and just gonna go old school 🏫 and test out this whole process. 

Yolanda y Francisco were very thorough and told me where to shop and what to buy. I was with my clients yesterday when I purchased these items and I told them once I’m happy with my home made sopes I will also cook for them. I told them I’m gonna experiment with the dough and make some simple ones and some fancy ones. They’re like “Hurry up Ateh already” lol 😂 I’m like cálmate chicas 🐣 I need to learn 👩🏻‍🍳

Also, I’m glad I pulled the trigger on these pickled veggies. They are squash blossoms and I ate them straight out of the jar. They are a milder tasting pickled veggie and I love them more than kimchi so I am replacing kimchi until further notice 👍
